ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR OF INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS
The Bill Greehey School of Business, St. Mary’s University, is seeking to fill a tenure-track position in International Business at the assistant or associate professor level. Discipline expertise in international marketing and global market assessment is required. Additional expertise in other area(s) of international business, such as emerging Asian markets, is a plus. Candidates are required to have a PhD or DBA from an AACSB-accredited institution. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate the ability to: (1) bring excellence and innovation into the classroom, (2) maintain a strong and continuing record of scholarship consistent with the teacher-scholar model, and (3) possess attributes leading to successful professional service, internal and external. Salary and benefits are competitive.
Founded in 1923, the Bill Greehey School of Business is accredited by AACSB International and is home to 31 faculty, more than 600 undergraduate students, and 100 graduate students. The School was recently re-named in honor of Bill Greehey, who in December 2005 donated $25 million to it, primarily to be used for student scholarships and faculty support. The School has three undergraduate departments: Accounting, Finance & Quantitative Methods, and Management. Graduate degrees for the Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Business Administration/Doctor of Jurisprudence (MBA/JD) are available. In 2008, the MBA program of the Bill Greehey School of Business was ranked by Princeton Review as #1 in Texas and the Southwest and #8 in the U.S. among MBA programs with the Greatest Opportunity for Women. The Greehey School of Business maintains extensive ties with the dynamic San Antonio area business community as well national and international organizations. St. Mary’s University was founded in 1852 as an independent Catholic university shaped by the rich tradition of the Society of Mary (Marianists). Located in San Antonio, Texas, the University has an enrollment of more than 4,000 students and maintains small class sizes, with a student-faculty ratio of 13-to-1. There are three undergraduate schools, a graduate school, and a school of law.
